Sound quality is one of the most important aspects of any DJ system. Unfortunately, it can be tough to tell exactly what you’re getting with most DJs. You might hear about how many “watts” a DJ's sound system puts out or the size of their speakers. Unfortunately, this has little to do with the quality of sound you’ll experience at your event.

And, since the fun stops when the music stops, all of our sound systems include redundant backup equipment to keep the sound going even in the event of an unforeseen problem.

Enjoy the freedom of our high quality wireless microphones included with every system we offer. Now you can make your toasts, dedications, or special announcements from virtually anywhere in the room. And, as with most all of our other features, our wireless systems come standard—not as a paid add-on like some DJs.

Surround sound
At Thunder & Lightning, years of experience have taught us that a bigger venues require more than just bigger speakers for pleasing, room-filling sound. That's why we offer an upgrade that many other DJs don't, our extended zone (or best system) upgrade. In addition to a powerful main audio system at the front of the room, our extended zone system offers a secondary audio system (that's a complete second set of speakers) which can be strategically placed at the sides or back of the room (up to 100 feet from our main DJ location). During your dinner or cocktail hour, background music and announcements will be more even and consistent throughout the entire room instead of loud in the front and soft in the back. In fact, it's much like a large scale version of a surround-sound system.

One size doesn’t fit all
At Thunder & Lightning, we don’t believe in the “one size fits all” mantra. Special events come in all sizes, and so do our DJ systems. Whether you’re planning for 100 or 1,000 we’ve made it easy to get the audio performance you need without paying for something that you don’t. For instance, our “better” level DJ system is a great choice for small to medium size events. For medium to large events (or for outdoor venues) our “best” and “video extreme” DJ systems offer extended audio output for maximum excitement.
